Don’t do property courses, they’re a scam, you can read it all online! Plus they cost more than a mortgage, so buy a house instead.
I hear a lot of this kind of thing online and from various property groups. And, whilst I understand some of the sentiments and partly agree, there’s one thing for certain, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing today without having gone on courses.
Yes, I could have read books, but how long would that have taken me to get all the info in one place? What about when I needed to ask questions (even the ‘stupid’ ones at the outset)? What about accountability and the ability to have experts on hand to guide and support where needed? A book wouldn’t have helped with this.
Without a doubt it has enabled me to supercharge my journey.
When I signed up to property training I wanted 10 properties by the time I retired. I thought that this was a big goal to have. However, since courses have opened my eyes to what’s possible, I’ve bought that amount in the last 12 months. Did I ever think this was possible? Especially because I was skint? Hell no. Now, instead of retiring in my 60’s I plan to retire (well be in a position to but I won’t) by the time I’m 40 instead.
Do I think courses should cost 20k, leaving you in such debt that it could stop you getting a mortgage? No. I was always clever and found ways of not paying the full amounts, mainly because I didn’t have it, so I had to get creative.
You finish Uni in over 30k of debt and people cheer you.
You borrow 200k from the bank to get your nice new shiny home and people congratulate you.
You get a nice shiny car on finance that depreciates and people say how well you must be doing.
Yet you want to spend money learning something new that could change your life and that’s a scam?
Even my own family rolled their eyes when I told them I was doing a course and thought that it was rather pathetic. However, they ask me for advice because now I’m the expert!
But, it’s down to you guys. I met lots of people on the courses that I did, most with more money than I had. Many of these people haven’t done anything and they complain that the courses were a waste of money. It really is down to you whether you succeed or not. You can’t complain that you’re not getting muscles despite not going to the gym. It just doesn’t work. Sorry to break that to you, I’d love a toned body but I just can’t be arsed! Man that sucks.
It works if you work. It’s really as simple as that. Sometimes I think that the more desperate you are the more shit you have to lose so the harder you’re willing to work. But that doesn’t have to be the case,
The comfort zone is the killer of dreams. If you want it, but not enough to do whatever it takes, despite how difficult it gets, then you don’t want it badly enough.
We’ve made our courses as affordable as possible so that changing your life doesn’t have to be as painful as it was when I did it. There’s nothing special about me though, if I can do it, then anyone can! So lets supersize your vision and make the changes today. <3
